Stanislaus River Basin
AgCEL’s team worked with the Bureau of Reclamation’s Division of Planning, to develop a land-based conjunctive use groundwater model for the Stanislaus River Basin. The computer-simulated groundwater model was designed to evaluate the interrelationships between the surface and groundwater resulting from changing land use and other potential interventions in the Stanislaus River Basin. The analysis of the water consumption of various crops grown in the Stanislaus River basin was a key activity of this project.
